• Booking management — to confirm, manage and fulfil your rental request;
• Delivery and collection — to coordinate equipment delivery to your accommodation;
• Invoicing and payment — to process and record transactions;
• Customer communication — to respond to enquiries and provide support;
• Legal obligations — to comply with applicable Portuguese and EU law.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Under the GDPR, we process your data on the following legal grounds:

• Contract performance (Article 6(1)(b)) — processing is necessary to fulfil your rental booking;
• Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) — where required by Portuguese law (e.g. invoicing obligations);
• Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) — for customer communication and service improvement, where these do not override your rights.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above:

• Booking and transaction records are kept for 5 years, in line with Portuguese tax and accounting law;
• Customer communication records are kept for up to 1 year after the last interaction;
• Data no longer needed is securely deleted.

6. Who We Share Your Data With

Tuggo does not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:

• With payment service providers (e.g. MBWay) solely to process your payment;
• With public authorities or courts, when required by law;
• With communication tools (e.g. WhatsApp, Gmail) used to manage your booking — these platforms have their own privacy policies.

All third parties we work with are required to handle your data securely and in accordance with applicable law.

Under the GDPR and Portuguese Law No. 58/2019, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
